Jim, what can I say about Cherie / Lily? She has filled that empty space that was left when I had to put Ollie down. Her personality is so sweet and gentle and she makes Tom and I laugh out loud. Thank you for seeing us on such short notice to show us the pups and thank you for letting Cherie come home with us. Cherie sends her love to Lucie and all the gang and special kisses to her mom and dad. She says she loves her new people and is trying very hard to pee in the right places. Well its bath time .....vet visit tomorrow. Thanks again Jim for all the support or for being such a responsible breeder. Your gang is beautiful.

Jim, that little Lucie reminds me so much of her brother Max!! We would so love to have her but I am not sure if Max would like to share the limelight. Is Lucie still very alpha? Maybe she should visit us here to see if Max is a good big brother. If not, one walk around the neighborhood and someone will fall in love and take her! Just think, Max would have family right here! Dear Granddaddy Jim, Happy Birthday to ME!! It was my sweet half-sister Amelie’s birthday a few days ago, and now it is MINE! Not a day goes by that I don’t think of you, my litter mates (and half-litter mate Amelie!), my new puppy siblings, and Mommy Magali and Daddy Pastis. Oh Jim, I want to see my relatives so much, but I know that you are taking the BEST care of them. Someday it will be my turn to get a sister or brother for my home here, but now I just send my love to you all. Can you believe that I am 1 year old?? I still remember how you took me for walks in the parking lot of the college, practicing for when my family would put me on a leash. I got pooped, but I am bigger now and love to walk. My favorite game is soccer—can you believe it? Maybe it is because I think that the ball is a round Coton. And I remember running around your yard. Those were the days. You got me in good shape! I also love to ride in the car—just like when I rode with you—but now especially when my person-mom carpools the neighborhood kids to swim practice. They pass me around the van to hold me! You wouldn’t believe how popular I am! Early May must be a lucky time, because I was born last year and you sold the house this year. I am so happy that life is good for you!! Hi Jim, I know you are very busy with your new pups, but please take time out of your busy schedule and read this very important announcement. Guess whose birthday it is? Give up? It\'s ME!! YES, that\'s right! it\'s your little AMELIE! I\'M ONE YEAR OLD!! I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart ( IT\"S A BIG ONE) for giving me a good beginning. Mystique & Pastis, my mom & dad, gave me so much love. And since I was an only child you made sure I had pleny of playtime with Magali\'s babies. I remember sitting on your shoulder in the evenings & watching TV with you-so much FUN we had. I hope to visit my old stomping grounds soon. I will even bring my older sister Yuki & my new friend from Canada-Cotonnerie Zack! Boy oh boy do we have fun together! We keep Diane & Mark on their toes. Jim, Julie is adjusting very well,she loves Beau and follows him everywhere.At times she is the boss of him,I\\\'ts great,were having fun. Ashley and I went to the beach with Julie and Beau yesterday and people were all over us wanting to pet the dogs,asking questions about them.I gave out your E-mail to about six people.Jim that says a lot about you and the quality of these Cotons.People were very impressed because they are so beautiful.

Hi Jim, Madeleine (aka Jacqui, born 1/20/08) couldn\\\'t be a more perfect fit for our family. We all adore her, especially the kids, and she is their perfect companion. Her disposition is so sweet and she loves everyone she meets. Her ease with people is a wonderful reflection of the loving, hands on way you raise your dogs. Thank you for your guidance and patience through all of our visits to determine which of Magali\\\'s pups was right for us. Hi, I just wanted to say Happy Second Birthday to my bother and sister, Max and Posey. I can\'t believe it\'s been two years since we were born, because I still feel like a pup (I don\'t believe that dog years thing). I have had a wonderful two years with my family, and I hope the two of you have also. Dear Jim, Your 2008 Photo of the Luippold Family deserves a Pulitzer Prize in photography! How you manage to capture such a serene portrait is amazing. Barklee is the image of Pastis. Jim -- Bisous (renamed Lily) is an absolute beauty! What a fantastic personality she has! While the name Bisous (hugs and kisses) was wonderful, we had to put down our 18 yr old Bichon Frise \'Daisy\" and the kids decided on the name Lily for our Coton. She is so friendly to everybody she meets, and is a treasured companion to our 80 lb Boxer \"Cassie\" (who is so protective of Lily!) Thanks again for all your advice during Lily\'s puppyhood. We enjoy her so much and there is definitely a big difference in getting a puppy from a breeder such as yourself than from a store. She is so well adjusted we just love her to pieces! So, when are you coming to visit with your dogs in toe? We\'re on an acre, and totally fenced in! We\'d love to have you -- you know this already! Take care, Linda and Mike

Your little Miss Sophie, now a little over a year, is the sweetest, most loving puppy, just like Ashton, now eight, and also from your loving home. Miss Sophie is a terrific big sister to Lily of the Valley. They love the snow, as well as the mud! Little clowns, all of them, always making me laugh at them, several times a day, especially when they do \\\"ZoomZoom.\\\" We all sleep in my bed together, each taking their usual spot. Woof! Today is my (Gigi’s) 5 month birthday, and I just had to write to tell you how much my family loves me. They send their thanks for your expertise, wisdom, and support throughout the process of bringing me home. Not to brag, but my family thinks that I’m pretty special. You already knew that, of course, but they are ever amazed at how I am so smart, funny, sweet, cooperative, loving, perceptive, well behaved, social, easy-going, and beautiful. (No credit to me—it takes a great breeder!) If anyone else out there is thinking about getting a Coton, or thinking about contacting Jim as a breeder, you are thinking the right thoughts. Dear Jim, What can we say about our new baby that you already don\'t know? She is everything that you promised & everything we expected PLUS a whole lot more. She fits into our family like it was always meant to be. From the ride home in the car she & YUKI became fast BEST FRIENDS-just as sisters should be!! She has such a sweet personality- BUT in no way is she a pushover! Both girls are very different BUT very much the same ( you know what we mean). Well, I just have to say that like any other International Student, recognize that our favorite teacher is Jim Luippold the most active teacher who not just teach in the classroom, also get people feel comfortable happy at their stay in the USA, I am sure that anybody in the world who has taken classes with Jim remembers him with happiness. Hi Jim, It\'s been a while since we wrote, but we wanted to \"chime in\" and let you know we really like your new home page. And of course we are thrilled that Barklee is prominently shown in your Puppies 2006 photo album. We\'ve always loved that picture of her and Max coming in from the rain! She\'s doing great, and although she now weighs what an \"adult\" should, she\'ll always be a puppy to us. Dear Jim, Max has now been with us a whole year, and we can\'t believe how wonderful he is. Not only is he a great companion, he is a wonderful playmate to the kids. He has not changed since he was a pup, still all \"alpha male\" , but occassionally he\'ll let me win an argument. He is very smart and well-trained (easy to do!). He enjoys playing with his poodle friend every day and taking naps with his chin on mommy\'s leg. He is truly the perfect pet, and I know it is thanks to the way you have raised his parents and his \'pack\'. We hope Max has a chance to visit with his parents and his friend Dallas soon. I have owned Casper for almost 2 years and I constantly receive compliments on how cute my dog is. He not only is the custest dog I have ever owned, he is the best dog I have ever had. I owe that all to Jim! I have owned dogs pratically all my life and I have never met a breeder that cares so much about his family. Casper has the best temperment and is such a happy dog and I honestly believe that starts from the moment of conception and he would not be that way unless he came from a happy mom and dad. Thanks Jim, I love Casper so very very much. I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a breeder of Coton\'s they should never look further than Jim Luippold. Your dogs are awesome!

Dear Jim, I just had to write to tell you how much I Iove your new website, and also to thank you for adding the new photo of Chloe to your photo gallery. I can\'t believe I have had Chloe for seven years already. She is the best dog I could ever have and who knew that when I got her that I would get a great human friend too? If there is anyone out there reading this and wonders if Jim is the Coton breeder for you, trust me, he is. Jim was one of the first breeders of Cotons in the United States and he is caring and wonderful with every one of his Forever Families. And as Vice President of the breed club, the USACTC (www.usactc.org) IMHO he represents the kind of Coton breeder all the others aspire to.There are not enough words to tell you how great a man he is. I could not recommend him highly enough. Just one thing ---- know that when you get a pup from Jim you are entering into a long term relationship with him for the life of your Coton. To this day he can name everyone of his pups and who owns them and where they are. So expect the same when you get one of Jim\'s Cotons. Jim, thank you for allowing me to take your \"BéBé\" home. Hi Jim! Fantastic website! Mystique & Magali did a wonderful job giving birth to beautiful babies--of course Mon Pastis had a part in it too!! And you also must take credit for being the Best Coach during labor & delivery! Keep the pictures & updates coming . Yuki & I are waiting patiently for our \"pick of the litter\". oh my god jim,they are sooooo cute! we can't wait, they are all so beautiful!!! My kids have been asking if we will be able to come that weekend of the 21st of Oct. What are the possibilities of being able to pick the dog up that weekend, I didn't know if the people in front of us, would be able to get there early on that weekend, so we could be there too. let me know. My husband and I have a 12 year old female coton from the Savikko Kennels in CA. Her name is Brisa and she keeps company with our 15 year old Westie, Zoe. We are thinking of buying another Coton and would like to visit your kennel. The Coton breed is delightful...Brisa is sweet, obedient, (smiles)and is fun loving.

Hi Jim, We thought you and your guestbook readers might be interested in this story regarding Barklee, who as you know has just passed her six month birthday. This is one of those stories that you hear about, but until it happens to you, you never fully appreciate. About a week ago we were going thru our new ritual of Barklee spending some time with us on our bed, before we all go to sleep (Barklee, in her crate, of course). In the course of playing, Barklee all of a sudden put her front paws on Dorothy and started sniffing the air very pointedly. We couldn�t smell anything, so just thought it was something new she did. Then after a couple of minutes, she started barking as well, which during play time is fairly unusual, except when she sees something new, or �out of place�. We noticed that indeed Dorothy had placed a back massager on her nightstand to be charged, as she had pulled her back out that evening. So that explained the barking, or so we thought. Barklee�s sniffing and barking continued, so Dorothy eventually got up to move the massager. It wasn�t until she got close to it that she could smell melting plastic, and when she felt it, it was red hot. The charger unit was obviously faulty and overheating. Had it not been for Barklee�s actions, we could easily have gone to sleep and had the unit burst into flames while we were sleeping. Needless to say, in our opinion Barklee has most likely saved out home, if not our lives. A prized member of our family, has now become our little hero! And here we thought we couldn�t ask any more of one of your fantastic Cotons. Thank you again! Dorothy & Randy Huber

Dear Jim, Dino, Celine, Bijou and Bianca are the most gorgeous litter I think you have ever had -- besides Chloe of course! :-) I feel sure that the two babies not yet claimed are just waiting for the perfect Forever Families to Surf In and see them, and it will be Love At First Sight. I know it was for me when I got to visit them last month. They look gorgeous in the photos, but IMHO they are even MORE spectacular looking in person. And so sweet too! I purchased Ashton from Jim seven years ago, a male. I just purchased Sophie, a female from Jim Thanksgiving, 06. Jim also sold one of his puppies to another friend of mine about five years ago, Casey. I believe Jim to be the most loving and caring of breeders. Even after all these years of breeding loving, healthy puppies at home, he still cries each and every time a puppy leaves to go to their new home. He is always available to answer questions, even years and years later. I highly recommend him to anyone even thinking of incorporating a Coton into their family. Love to all, Pamela Whitney 12/06

My wife, Mary and I, hooked up with Jim in February 2006 and placed a deposit for a pup in the summer of 2006. Sept 2nd came with 4 beautiful pups and my wife picked Bijou from the 10 hour old photos sent to us by Jim. He kept us updated every week with photos till we picked Bijou (now Bryson) up @ 11 weeks. Bryson is a joy but we cannot say enough about Jim. He is one of the nicest people my wife and I have ever met. He has helped us so much during our 1st few weeks of parenthood. We have found a true friend. Thank You Jim. Bryson send his love and kisses too.

Hi Jim, I loved your web page and all your beautiful photos of your fabulous cotons. My husband and I lost our springer spaniel, Murphy, last year. We really miss him... We met a man who was walking his coton and we thought he was such a pretty dog and so friendly. Will you be having any new puppies soon? We would love to see them. What are your requirements for families who would adopt your puppies? How much do your puppies cost? We can see how much you love and care for them so they must be very happy and friendly dogs.
